Hiring a wedding photographer was one of the most stressful parts of planning my own wedding. I knew I wanted awesome photos from my wedding day, but since I had never hired a wedding photographer before, I had no idea how to even find one. I was nervous to just book anyone from the internet, and even searching online for a wedding photographer in my area wasn't all that helpful. Then it seemed like I contacted about a hundred photographers who were already all booked up. Wait, what? My wedding is in like a year from now! Thankfully I had a friend who had just gotten married, and by a wonderful stroke of luck, her amazing photographer was still available AND in my budget.

How does this even work?

After you contact me, I will email you a brochure containing my wedding collections. We will address any questions or special requests you might have, either over the phone, via email, or in person. Once you decide to move forward with me, I will email you an agreement, a short wedding questionnaire to gather all of the details, and an invoice for your non-refundable retainer. Your wedding date will be secured when our agreement has been signed and your retainer has been paid in full. We will schedule your engagement session. Once your wedding date gets closer, we will discuss your wedding timeline in more detail. Before you know it, your wedding day will be here!

Why is our retainer non-refundable?

Your retainer is non-refundable because once your wedding date is secured, I will turn down any other inquiry for your wedding date. Your wedding date is all yours on my calendar. I won't try to squeeze in an engagement session or schedule anything else on your date. Even if you only need a few hours of coverage, I will keep the entire day open just in case you decide you need more time or in case your timeline changes.

How many images will we get?

For a typical engagement session, you will receive between 20-40 images, and for your wedding album you can expect 50-70 images per hour.

When will we receive our images?

Engagement sessions are delivered within 1 week and wedding galleries are delivered by your 1st monthiversary.

Can we download and print our own images?

Yes! When you receive your online gallery, you will have the option to order prints and albums directly from my professional print lab. You will also be able to download all of your images to share on social media or to print at a printer of your choice.

What if we don't want or need an engagement session?

Your complimentary engagement session is just that...complimentary. It has no monetary value assigned to it. I include an engagement session in all of my wedding collections because it's a perfect way for us to get comfortable with each other prior to your wedding day, and it gives you an opportunity to provide me with some valuable feedback. You can forgo this session if you don't want or need it, but there is no discount for choosing not to have one. You may, however, decide to schedule a family or bridal session in lieu of an engagement session.

What should we wear to our engagement session?

Most importantly, wear something that you feel comfortable wearing. When you look and feel your best, it will show in your photos. It is best to avoid wearing anything too busy (logos, patterns, bright or conflicting colors, etc.) or too matchy-matchy. Try to avoid clothing that is wrinkled, stained, or full of holes. This includes your shoes! If you are unsure or want photos in multiple outfits, feel free to bring a few extra clothing options along to your session.

Can we make payments?

Yes! If you would like to make any other payment arrangements, please contact me. Your retainer is still required in full to secure your wedding date, and the remaining payments are still due 30 days prior to your wedding date, but you may make weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly payments if you'd like.

Can we pay with a check or credit card?

Yes, I accept cash, check, and all major credit cards.

Is sales tax included?

No, sales tax will be collected in addition to the price of the wedding package you choose.
