Backyard Engagement Session | Menomonee Falls, WI

Couples almost always tell me they aren’t photogenic or they feel so awkward in front of the camera. I totally relate, as I feel the same (which is why I prefer being on the my side of the camera). My goal is always to make it seem like my camera isn’t right in front of your face. It helps to have things to do so the focus is on each other instead of the camera.

Jenny and Matthew mentioned a few times that they aren’t really center of attention type of people. I’m glad they decided to meet up for some engagement photos anyway! Having their dogs along was a good way to incorporate something to do. Plus, look at those cute faces! Another helpful idea is to have an in-home or backyard engagement session.
